Ferry Service

The Block Island Ferry : provides year-round service from Point Judith, RI. Summer service from Providence and Newport, RI, New London, CT, and Montauk, NY. Call for schedules, rates and car reservations (401) 783-4613

Island Hi-Speed Ferry: state-of-the-art High Speed Catamaran sailing mid-May thru mid-Oct. Departs from State Pier in Galilee to New Harbor in only 30 minutes. Reservations are highly recommended. (877) 733-9425.

Directions To The Point Judith Ferry Dock:
From the West: Take I-95 North to Exit 92, bear right on Rt.2 to Rt.78 (Westerly bypass). At Rt.1, turn left and travel to Rt.108 (signs to Galilee and Point Judith). Travel south three miles on Rt.108 to the Block Island Boat sign and turn right, then left.

From the North: Take I-95 South to Rt.4 to Rt.1; take exit for Narragansett and Rt.108. Travel south three miles on Rt.108 to the BlockIsland Boat sign and turn right, then left.

Directions To The New London Ferry Dock:
From the West: Take I-95 North to Exit 84S for downtown New London. At second light, turn left onto Gov. Winthrop Blvd., go straight over railroad tracks, and bear right to ferry entrance. From the East: Take I-95 South to Exit 83 West for downtown New London. At third light, turn left onto Gov. Winthrop Blvd., go straight over railroad tracks, and bear right to ferry entrance.

Directions to the Montauk Ferry
From NYC: Take the L.I.E. (route 495) East ro exit 70, Go South on Rt. 11 to Rt.27, East about 1 hr. to Montauk Village, then North on County Rd. 49 or 77 to Viking Landing on Culloden Point

Directions to Newport Ferry Dock
From Providence:
Take Route 95 South, to Rte. 4 South, to Rte. 138 to Jamestown. Continue on 138 to the
Newport Bridge. Immediately after bridge, take the Downtown exit and follow signs to
Fort Adams State Park. (Newport Bridge Toll: Token or $2.00 each way

Directions to the Westerly Airport:

From the west (New York):

I-95 North to exit 92, right onto Rt. 2 south, 1 mile to Rt. 78. Right turn onto Rt. 78 to traffic lights (5 mi.). Go STRAIGHT AHEAD onto Airport Road. The Westerly Airport entrance is your FIRST LEFT (1/2 mile).

From the north (Boston):

I-95 South to RI exit 1. Bear right onto Rt. 3 south ,4.5 miles to Rt. 78. Turn LEFT onto RT. 78, 3 miles to traffic lights. Continue staight onto Airport Road. Airport entrance is your first left (1/2 mile).

From Hartford:

Rt. 2 south to Westerly. Approaching Westerly, you will pass UNDER I-95. One mile after crossing under I-95 turn right onto Rt. 78. Continue to traffic lights (5 miles). Go straight ahead onto Airport Road. Airport entrance is 1/2 mile on left - your first left after the traffic lights.
